This past weekend (August 7-8, 2015), Kathy and I had the opportunity to attend the Timberhaven Log Homes’ Annual Dealer Meeting in Lewisburg, PA. This event was jam-packed full of exciting announcements, new product offerings, updated supplier offerings, educational seminars and, most importantly, even more tools for us to have to help you, our Clients!

Friday evening, we had the opportunity to speak to representatives from TAMKO (shingles), CTS (Q8 Log Oil), Andersen Windows, ThermaTru doors and Velux. The vast array of new and enhanced products from each of these suppliers will definitely provide our clients with many more features and options to incorporate into the dream log home design.

We also had the opportunity to talk to several other Timberhaven representatives and employees about a variety of subjects. For instance, we discussed log home stains and maintenance with our counterparts in Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington and Ohio. We also discussed market trends and what buyers are now looking for in their log home designs as well as those items that are no longer in vogue.

Now for a summary of the exciting topics from our informative weekend:

NEW LOG HOME PLAN BOOKS

One of the best surprises at the meeting was the release of a new plan book. The former plan book was approximately 100 pages and was expensive to print and mail. The new plan book costs much less, is far better organized (by square footage and also alphabetically) and includes several NEW MODELS that were not included in the previous one! Ask us for a copy and we will be more than happy to provide you with one!

STONE FOR FIREPLACES, WALLS, ETC.

On another subject, we are happy to announce that we can now provide our clients with Ply Gem stone veneers. Available in a variety of colors and styles, including stack, fieldstone, ledgestone, cobblestone, riverstone and brick, these stone veneers are ideal for fireplaces, foundation coverings, interior walls and exterior walls.

INSULATED ROOF PANELS

As we as a country are striving to conserve our energy resources, what better way to save than to incorporate insulated roof panels into your new log home design. We are pleased to announce that we are offering Thermaroof insulated panels as an additional means to make your home more energy efficient.

STRUCTURAL INSULATING PANELS

Once again, thinking about energy efficiency, we are also offering Murus structural insulating panels. These panels are ideal for timberframe home designs as well as log sided designs.

COMPOSITE DECKING

Log homes as well as timberframe homes often feature large deck areas. Typically, these decks are made of pressure treated wood, which does require periodic cleaning and occasional staining. For those who wish to have a near maintenance free deck, we are pleased to announce that we now offer two sources of decking and railings for your outdoor entertainment areas:

• TimberTech and
• AZEK

CEDAR SHINGLES

Many of our clients have requested red cedar shakes and/or shingles for use on their timberframe or log home designs. Before now, these items were not offered by us and our clients purchased them independently. We are now happy to provide our clients with Certigrade red cedar shingles and shakes.

SLIDING BARN DOORS

In recent months, we have had several Clients request sliding barn doors between rooms in their log homes. We are happy to announce that Timberhaven Log Homes now offers these as an option.

FASTER PRICE ESTIMATES

In order to provide our Clients with a faster response time for estimates, we now have the capability to prepare most estimates ourselves without the need to work with the Timberhaven Engineering department to do so. This will enable us to provide our clients with an estimate in a much shorter time frame!

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT

We recognize that there are many other log home companies available for you to do business with.
