Morningdale Log Homes, LLC. is an authorized representative for Timberhaven Log and Timber Homes, LLC. and serves Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

We have lived in several states over the past four decades – Virginia, Pennsylvania (three times), Maine and Maryland. Thirty years ago, when we lived outside of Lewisburg, PA, home to Timberhaven’s headquarters, we frequented a model log home there and said, “Someday we are going to own a log home like that.”

From that time until 2006, we learned everything we could about log homes, the many log home companies and log home living in general. We read log home magazines by the dozens and even went to the library and checked out the many log home books available. We laid out our draft floorplan and design, and over the years made many changes to it to better suit our changing lifestyle and needs.

In 2006, we purchased 50-acres of land in Crawford County (PA) about 10 miles east of Meadville. Shortly thereafter we purchased our log home kit  (an heavily customized Lakeside II with attached 2-car garage) from Timberhaven Log and Timber Homes. We started construction in August 2007 and were able to move into it in March 2008. Finally, after over 30 years of dreaming and five previous custom stick-built homes, our wish to own a log home had come true!

Now it is 2021, and we cannot imagine not living in a log home!  The long journey was well worth it! The cozy, relaxing feeling and warmth of our log home makes us wish we had built one sooner in our lives, but we are glad to have it now as we enjoy a rustic, durable, energy-efficient log home. In fact, we even have a log-sided barn for our AKC Collies and a board-and-batten run-in shed with tack room for our Haflinger horse!

Today we spend much of our time enjoying the trails in our woods, puttsing around in “the yard”, fishing in our 2-acre pond, relaxing in front of the fireplace in the Great Room or the wood stove in the basement Family Room. But most of all, we thoroughly enjoy helping others make their log, timber frame or hybrid home dream come true just as we have done!
